At Bikuben there are 117 rooms, with the most common type being the single room. These rooms are more or less alike, with only minor variations. They are all equipped with bath and toilet as well as a small kitchen with sink, two hot plates and cupboards. Typical size is 20 square meters (215 square feet) including bathroom. The rooms are placed adjoined to common areas, which means no long echoing corridors, instead there is lively activity as soon as you step out of your room. The common kitchens are large and bright and shared by only 8-11 people on each hall.

Apart from single rooms, it is also possible to rent a double room or a special kind for students with children.

Bikuben Kollegiet receives new applicants through Centralindstillingsudvalget CIU (Central Recommendation Commitee). This organization has the purpose of assuring a reasonable and centralized process of acquiring rooms at Kollegier and youth housings. When you apply via CIU you can also apply to many other residences across Copenhagen. In this way you are granted a room where one first becomes vacant.
